The Diamondous Revolution-
A revolution on Diamondous started by an unknown group that took place over a period of several years. While it was slow to take the less important cities, in fact taking several years before it even tried to take some of them, it was effective in taking control of Diamondous.
The Technomancer Order-
An order of mages spanning several solar systems. The Technomancer order originated in a system near Carratous. It's headquarters in the Carratous system is on Tubelectric, but there are Technomancers living on Diamondous and Technomancers working for Devan living on Scraparap. Technomancers usually avoid Carratous, since it is rather backwards.
Technomancy-
A type of magic strongly involving technology. Technomancy involves the creation, modification, and control of robots, machines, and electricity.
Autocaster-
A device used by Technomancers. An autocaster resembles a rubik's cube in all grey with runes on each side. Certain combinations activate the cube and allow a technomancer to focus a spell through it. Certain combinations reset the cube or set it to another combination, to make it harder for people not Technomancers to use it. To make it worse, they automatically reset after a few moments, so you need to be well trained to even set it to a combination that does something, let alone cast a spell with it. An autocaster requires some magical talent to use, as it draws upon the energy of the user, and only serves to shape the complex spells Technomancers use.
Some of the more unusual abilities some Technomancers command. These may or may not be used at all.
Pocket Dimensions-
One of the newest and most unusual magic Technomancers can use is that of pocket dimensions. Pocket dimensions are small dimensions in which things can be stored and accessed regardless of location. To open one only requires a simple spell, however making one is a lot more complex. In fact, only Technomancers who have specialized in such spells can actually manage it. Even so, the pocket dimensions made by such Technomancers are flawed- anything that is put in them suffers minor molecular damage. While the level of damage is not enough to disrupt simple things, stuff like computers and credit cards are damaged beyond use.
Internet Divination-
A skill first discovered and possessed by research Technomancers, Internet Divination is, quite simply, the act of using 'net searches to predict the future by way of finding prophecies made and posted by internet denzions subconsiously. While such predictions are rare, with the sheer age and scope of the internet it is possible that with enough work you can find a prediction for anything. However, the amount of searching required to find even a single prediction is enormous, so the only people who have any chance of finding what they are looking for in any good time are research Technomancers.
Slayo said to post profiles here, soo...
Name: Jargon Random
Nickname: The Mad Technomancer
Gender: Male
Species: Raccoon
Fur: A deep muddish red with black rings
Hair: midnight black
Clothes: Jargon wears a shirt in the same muddish red as his fur, with metal rings running around the sleeves. These rings used to be shiny and clean, but over time got tarnished by oil and rust. Jargon also wears black pants, that have similar rings. The rings in his clothes are very lightweight, and can protect Jargon from minor electric shocks by conducting the shocks through themselves instead of letting Jargon conduct them. He also wears goggles with plastic lenses and in a black and mud-red motife that resembles his other clothes. He only actually puts these goggles over his eyes when working on robots.
Eyes: White irises(irii?); otherwise pure black
Appearance: Being often tired from working on robots all day and night without a nice healthy amount of sleep, Jargon usually isn't that agile or even coordinated. Only on those occassions he manages to forsake his work long enought to sleep does his natural agility begin to shine. He can react to things quickly when full awake, and has learned to be very articulate from using his autocaster.
Skills: Knows Technomancy, and specializes in the parts of technomancy that involve robots, expecially the creation of them, but he is still skilled in making them manually. He knows very little directly offensive or defensive magic, but he can use his technomancy to simulate the effects of such magic by making kamakazi robots, one of his favorite in-battle tricks.
Special abilities: Wherever he goes, he (often without realizing it) taps into the minds of nearby computers. Such machine empathy isn't uncommon for technomancers, but Jargon is one of the few to be able to do so without distracting himself from his own body.
Weapons: The only thing he carries with him that could be called a weapon is his autocaster, a rubik's cube-like device technomancers use to cast their spells.
Personality: Somewhat eccentric at times, he is otherwise rather calm. Only when he gets a chance to do something with his robotic creations does he get excited. His nickname of the Mad Technomancer comes from the bizzare, sometimes defective robots he makes. He is not very open to criticism from people whom he does not know well or trust.
Occupation: A technomancer of the third order.
Other: Jargon has a rather boxy robot by the name of Robbie who acts as his assistant. He got Robbie from his friend and fellow Technomancer John Radin, as a present.
Likes: making robots, watching his robots in action
Dislikes: power outages, being criticised, EMP systems
Friends: 'Robbie' (R-0B/y), those few in the Technomancer order who relate to him
Enemies: people who object to magic and/or advanced technology
Quote: "Robotics is a form of art. Modern art."
