Alright. So.. what does this mean now?

I went and looked around the ClanBase site a bit to get a better idea of what is was. My feeble understanding of it is that this is comparable to JDC, except competition is between clans rather than individuals. Going from that assumption, possibly a good place to start in terms of establishing rules would be to start with those of JDC. The rules and scoring systems may not be entirely compatable, but perhaps you could also seek out the JDC organizers to get their input.

I see that basically all ClanBase games have a #clanbase.whatever channel on QuakeNet, but in all likelyhood I don't see #clanbase.jj2 being used all that much. I can say that from the experience of seeing how active, or rather inactive #jdc was during the last JDC season. People will probably end up sticking to the main #jj2 channel seeing as it's at least semi-active throughout the entire day. Not that the channel really matters much.

Also, one thing I noticed while looking about the ClanBase site was that clans, ladders, and such seem to rely heavily upon countries and geographical regions. Looking in the site's FAQ I noticed the following on joining ladders:
Quote:
Only ladders that cover the region that your clan is from will show up on the ladder signup page. You can sign up for a ladder in a different region by changing the nationality of your clan, but if you do you have to agree to play on servers in that region.
How will this effect JJ2 in ClanBase, concidering how few and spread out everybody is in the community?
