The latest version of Photoshop is Photoshop CS and is around $590 US. You can get the older Photoshop 7.0 for $130 US.
There are of course cheap alternatives. Adobe makes another version of Photoshop called Photoshop Elements which sells for $90 US. It's basically a stripped down version of Photoshop.
And of course there is Jasc Paintshop Pro 8($85 US) which suits a lot of people just fine.

OM Gosh, I can't believ that program costs more than Microsoft Office. I didn't think that any program costs more than MS Office!
A program like this or any of the others mentioned, I would say buy it. I don't believe in downloading something like this.
