My favorite official tileset is probably Colonius.
My favorite custom set is probably..um.... close between MEZ03A and Egypt [Night].
I haven't made levels with preexisting tilesets (official or otherwise) in a long time. Maybe if I started doing that again I'd have more luck with my tilesets.
I think I'll go make a CTF level with Colonius or something  .
