At a glance, it's a combination of the red, green, blue and purple gems... probably some sort of mystery gem event which got scrapped for looking ugly. It may have been replaced by Gem Crates (I think crates came before barrels, although I don't remember why).
EDIT: Wait, no, it's 1.23 style, so they were considering using it at least through OEM...

That's the Fireball gun from OEM, and the only weapon JJ2 (in the way of destruct blocks) actually recognizes as Gun8. Fun.

Hmm. It reminds me of the cloud from the coin warps, although I doubt those would have actually exploded.
These are just the sprites loaded for every level, right? Could some kind person give me the number for Spaz's head so I can start looking at the cool stuff?
