Most likley the only reason these games aren't freeware is because Epic forgot about them. No one cares, but you and as a result your killing your own community.

If you weren't stuck on this crazy morality trip there wouldn't be to seperate versions of JJ2, everyone would have TSF, there'd be no need to install the game in two locations, etc. There would also probably be more people playing though at this point it'd likley be too little too late.

Why am I posting this? am I going to start spamming JJ2 downloads or some other retarded activities? No. I'm just letting you give my observations and letting you lot know that you're one of the sorriest bunch of self destructive losers I've come across.
Ok, first of all, at least one person cares about the game. Seriously, one person even made us remove a certain patch we created, and he was an employee of Epic to boot!. The patch in question: the custom 1.23 to TSF patch which was supposed to upgrade 1.23 to TSF without any cost. Of course, such a patch is illegal and one of the creators of JJ2 intervened and had us remove it. Rather quickly too if I might add.

Secondly, we're a smal community with a belief that if people were prepared to actually pay for a game like Jazz Jackrabbit, that may give a signal to Epic Games, who may then reconsider the Jazz Jackrabbit game series. After all, if it brings in money, it's suited for Epic, look at Unreal. If people keep on downloading JJ2 illegally, Epic will think it will not be worth to make another game. Result: a dead end, no more Jazz Jackrabbit games, the end of a great game series.

Thirdly, the fact that we're smal puts us in a rather difficult position should it come to law-suits. Yes, should Epic find out that we would be distributing the game for free, they can easily shut us down and take everything we own, including the server we rely on for online play. Specialised warez sites are too big for Epic to be worth it, but smal fry like us they can easily handle.

Just some food for thought.
