I began to get mad at the man. "Go away."
He started to sound exasperated. "Look, ma'am, I can't control the coming and going of-"
"Stuff it."
I grabbed the edge of what used to be the wall and lifted it up enough to press the button, then did so. There was a quick burst of golden light as the wall slammed back into place and reconnected with the rest of the room. I sighed in relief for a moment.
"Well, honey, now that we're alone..."
I turned to Araches then back to the door. The guy behind the desk wasn't that bad...
