I think you're a little confused there. The router and the wireless card are two completely different things. To open a port, you'll first need to get into your routers interface. If you're running Windows, this can be done by going to Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig.

There will be an ip address next to default gateway. Go into a browser and type in http://[primary gateway IP] and it'll take you to your router's interface. If it asks for a username or password though, I can't help you there. But from then on, it should be somewhat straightforward.
