"Couldn't we just somehow use the chisels to.. melt the sea?" Uberbob asked to no one in particular. "I mean, they're magic and stuff like that! They're supposed to be able to do technically impossible things!"
"First of all, chisels don't melt things," I replied, "and second, their only real magic seems to be their ability to penetrate the impenetrable ice of Upper Placespot."
"Technically, we're talking about the sea around Upper Placespot," Shuri pointed out.
"Yeah, yeah," I muttered, "but we know Upper Placespot is frozen, too. Uberbob got a glimpse of it just before the edge broke off and he fell down that ice slope. And besides, it would take centuries to shave off that much ice from the sea with just these dinky little chisels. If we found the source of the ice spell we would have a better chance of reversing it than just trying to handle it with physical labor."
