wrong - they do get a lot less attention in the press these days tho - but if yer interested in some of the recent 2D platformers...
Lightweight Ninja - cant compare it to jazz2, but better than well... the average "amateur" game 
Akimbo - dont like it much - different graphic styles dont fit, no original concept - maybe a lil betteren that other ninja up there...
