Chapter 1: In the beginning

In the beginning, there was no carrotus. The world consisted of a Carrotus Forest in the land of Saharaware. In those days, there was no devan, he was non-existent. All the rabbits knew was euphoric joy.

In those days even the legends were but young babes. Only the most experienced and the leaders could talk and have colored names. Most of us were illiterate and unable to talk. We were not as experienced as you are today. We didn’t run, we walked and our gun precision was horrible.

It was one fine rabbit that took me from the grounds of Carrotus Forest and taught me his ways. He took me in as his own son. His name was MerLiN leader of the MM Guild. He taught me how to color my name, to read and write. He drilled me and honed my fighting skills until I was among the masters.

Then the big day came, the first war I was to participate in. It was MM versus another guild of the same region. The war was to take place as a CTF type war game and I was asked to join MM on the attacking team. I was told by mErLiN to choose war colors instead of the pure green that was common among the village.

While waiting for mErLiN to come back I decided that I would dye my fur by myself. I went over to mErLiN’s private cabinet and took out a blue looking paint. Slowly I tipped the bucket over my head and I watched as my fur and headband slowly became blue.

The hour had finally arrived and I was ready to fight. MErLiN walked in with a sad look on his face. When I inquired what was wrong he told me that he had been asked to go the land of Fuh-Vesion. He told me that I would never be able to enter the realm of Fuh-Vesion without being asked. I watched as he left his hut and left Carrotus Forest. I waved goodbye and a tear fell down my cheek. I walked by towards the cabin that was once inhibited by my only friend. I fell onto his bed and pondered all that life had to ponder.
