Talking New Chapter! Yay!

Here's a new chap. Sorry about the VERY long wait. Hopefully another chap soon. Enjoy.

CHAPTER 9: Prison's Fury
'Okay. Big problem.' Rumbo awoke in an arcane temple, speaking aloud to himself.
'I go somewhere, get knocked out. Wake up somewhere new. And the cycle continues.' Rumbo walked and ran his hand over the dusty carvings on the wall. His fingers felt the contours of the ingravings, they were written in a language Rumbo knew very well. Most of the Book of Time was written in the same language - Reganstrom, language of the Regalia.
'Where am I? These carvings must be millions of years old! But this looks like a Regalian temple, yet the entire planet was distroyed nearly 10 milennia ago!'
Rumbo walked, further examining the dusty wall carvings in the great hall.
'Hmm...it seems partially legible, yet disjointed. Strange. Hmm...lessie...find stone...make RUAN...ah. RUAN - Runes. Hm...'
Rumbo switched on a small, portable computer and recorded the data before opening a large oak door.
'What the...it can't be...' Rumbo ran down the narrow carpeted room to a stone alter. He peered at the dusty manuscript resting on the pedastal.
'So...the original Book of Time...'

'Ducky. Ducky V Greyrabbit.' Seating herself on a small, swivelling chair, she shut her eyes and let out a sigh.
'Ahhhhhh, a chair with CUSHIONS! It's been a long time since I sat on a real chair.'
'And if we have our way, it won't be the last. Hang on. We should be out of here in a few minutes.' defalcon powered up the tank. It roared to life, hovered, whined and the slammed to the ground as a blast to the rear blew off the engine.
'Things were going so well this time too. Wonder what that is.' Kazooie punched a command into the console and brought up the sensor feedback. 'We've lost our engines, half our power, and our coffee machine.'
Spaz blinked. 'Coffee machine? What type of tank is this?' he remarked, staring at the strange bird.
'A very badly damaged one. We won't be moving anywhere now. Come on, out the hatch.'
The four emerged from the tank and found themselves confronted by a small troop of turtles in uniform.
'Halt! Stop where you are. In the name of Devan Shell, you are under ar-'
WHACK! defalcon swung one of his special weapons, a polished leather sling that slung out green bolts of energy instead of stones. Spaz grabbed the officer's pike from his hands as he fell, then moved into a combat stance.
'Nice move, um...'
'defalcon. As we said though, intoductions later.' The two pairs flung themselves into the fray. Ducky, resorted to dodging the swings of a large pike-wielding turtle, before launching herself at him and stunned him with a powerful kick. Spaz came to her aid and pole-axed him with the pike end.
'Ruffian's, these 'uns are. I'll be glad to knock a new tune ito the things.'
Kazooie found himself backed against the hull of the tank. He fired his blaster and another commandeered from a guard simultaneously, arms crossed over as to lessen the recoil.
'Come on, one at a time. I'll send all of you into the next life!' Eyes alight with the battle, he didn't notice the muscular officer poised with a sabre until the last moment.
'Have at you, and you! And-what the?'
defalcon flung a bolt from his sling, blinding the officer as it caught him between the eyes. Ducky took a running lunge, leapfrogging over a fallen shell to stick the turtle with a javelin.
'Ack. Poor quality weapons, see this? A few whacks and the javelin haft is already snapped.' She threw the shaft away as they sped off towards the main gates.

'Aaaaarrgh!' Elfatine screamed with pain as he wrenched a shard of metal from his footpaw. An ambitious turtle had come in for the kill, throwing grenades at random. Whilst Elfatine's troops had finished him with a few quick blaster shots, he had killed five hares and wounded two others.
'Okay, that's it. Contact the rest of the troops and tell them to grab who they can and retreat.' Grunting with exertion, the patrol slowly doubled back to the holed wall and threw a pile of shrapnell up as a barrier.
'We can only hold the entrance for so long. If the rest aren't out in 10 minutes, the'yll be left behind.'

'There's Elfatine!' Kaz peered through a view-scope at the main gates. 'They're holding position, but they'll be overrun soon.'
'Uh Kaz, hate to alarm you, but if you look to the left you'll see a column of troops. Right over to the left, that's it. Now, if you look closely you'll see the armour and weapons.'
'Elite Guard.' Spaz uttered the word once, with extreme hatred. 'Let's get 'em.'
'Spaz, wait, that's not a good idea! Aw heck with it. They've spotted us anyway.'
Dashing towards the converging mass of soldiers, the three raced after Spaz with blood rising in their eyes.
'Arrrggghhh!' Ducky cut the scream of a turtle short, swinging a prison manicle as a heavy flail. It wrapped around the end of a spear held by a large terrapin.
'Ulp. Some help here, guys!'
Quick as a flash, Kaz leapt in with a stout club and brained the turtle. Momentarily stunned, the turtle took a step back and bumped defalcon.
'Yaaaaaaahhhh!' defalcon whirled around and, sheathing his silver dirk, drew his twin blades.
'Roooaaarrrgggghhhhh!' The turtle thrusted the spearhead towards the young rabbit only to find it blown apart instanly. He looked to the left.
'It's bad form to charge someone like that, villan!' He lowered the blaster, which he had used with pinpoint accuracy to vapourise the spearhaft.
''Unk...!' defalcon slew the turtle with a strong upwards swing of his two blades.
'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGH!' Kazooie flew out from a crowding of turtles who fell like tenpins. He screetched to the sky, whirling a great axe as he leapt upon the squad leader. Spaz came to his aid and hammered the turtle with the blaster-end.
'I hate to spoil your fun, but Elfatione says we have 5 minutes to get out.'
Eyes still hot with the battle mists, Kaz had to be dragged away as they sped towards Elfatine's company.

I'd like as much feed back as possible, so I know if I should keep writing and how to improve. Thanks.
