All fan games are technically illegal because they use copyrighted material without permission of the original owner (i.e. the company). It's small fry most of the time, so it'd be a waste of time and money to prosecute them.
I'm interested in those engines, maybe you can tell me more about the features like speed, physics and language it's written in?
