You can still shoot in midair, but Jazz's shots can't hit anything at the peak of his jump. I use jumping until about 3000 points in, at which point I rely on hitting the space bar as rapidly as possible
EDIT- New high score: 7100
EDIT 2- Newer high score: 8250! =D I feel so alive
