No, it's a noun being used as an adjective. Like in "pancake chef" or "computer keyboard". The first word describes the noun, kind of like how the "red" in "red apple" describes the apple. It narrows it down. It isn't referring to any chef, but a PANCAKE chef. It's not any apple, but a RED apple. And it's not any pants, but PARACHUTE pants.
