Serenity is a movie created by Joss Whedon based on a cancelled TV show named Firefly. It was created not because the show got amazing ratings (although it did), but because the fans wanted it so badly that they basically forced some higher-up people to get to work on it. Like I said, pulling this with Jazz would be darn near impossible.
