A few suggestions regarding the tiles:
- I know there aren't many slanted tables, but you need some diagonal tiles other than thin sticks and rubbers (no, not condoms..."erasers"...
).
- All your pencil rubbers and metal rings look identical. Use only one of each and save space for other tiles.
- The same goes for your actual pencils. Use one colour each and get rid of the rest so there's some space for more useful tiles.
- Some action tiles would be useful (they are for triggers, shooting, running through, etc...just look at any Epic tileset).
- Now that you've taken my advice (right???) and got rid of all those superfluous tiles, you can add cool eyecandy stuff, like those thin flakes of wood you get when you screw your pencil, some background book shelves, papers lying on the desk, etc, etc. Most desks are messy. Take a look at your own for inspiration! (Er, or not ;p).
- You've already got doodles of symbols in your tileset...add the whole alphabet!
- Sometimes people build levels where the player must go left for the exit. Make an exit sign that points left!
- That checkered paper background looks quite nice. It would be nicer if there were more of them, in different patterns and colours.
