Yes. Only about 10% of people struck by lightning are killed, while the remaining 90% are left with varying levels of disability. Unfortunately, a lightning strike can cause acute trauma to the nervous system and impact a victim's memory and personality. According to the National Weather Service, the USA averages 67 reported lightning deaths each year. Due to underreporting, the number is estimated to be closer to 100.

However, a rabbits nervous system is far more fragile, but hey, we're talking Jazz and company here.
