EC2007 - Location vote

Since deciding on the location is going about as fast as a snail on sleeping pills, I'm just going to go ahead and hold a vote.

Rules
  • Only people with a chance of attending are allowed to vote. If your chance of attending depends on the location, fine, but if you have no chance of attending a meeting at any location, do not vote.
  • Voting is public, and held only in this thread. No voting on behalf of others.
  • Polls will be open until 7:00 PM EST on December 22, 2006.
  • You may change your vote by editing your post any time before the polls close. Votes will not be counted until closing time.

Instructions

Each person can vote for a first and a second choice. The first choice will count 1.0, the second choice will count 0.5. You do not have to pick a second choice, but if you don't, your first choice will still only count 1.0. Post your vote in this thread, in this format:

1. Anchorage, Alaska
2. Austin, Texas

Candidates

The following cities have been proposed:

Ashland, Ohio
Chicago, Illinois
Cleveland, Ohio
Montreal, Quebec
Vancouver, British Columbia

You are encouraged to choose two of these cities, but to make it completely fair and to allow for additional discussion and suggestions during the vote, you may choose something else if desired.

Ties

Because first and second choice are taken into account in this vote, a runoff vote will only be held in the case of an exact tie. A runoff vote will be a direct majority vote between the tied cities.

Thread Rules

Post only votes in this thread. All location discussion should occur in the discussion thread. Any off-topic discussion will be deleted.
