A gesture from Chiyu and CC

Being the CC' leader, I have a couple of things to say.

There are a few things that have been causing some pain in the JJ2 community that I would like to resolve.

Regarding cheating: I'm well aware of the rumours, but I have yet to see any clear proof. Personally though, I trust the person in question with my heart when he says he does not cheat in 'official' games.

Another issue on some people’s minds is the final results of some clanwars and CC’s (or rather: my) willingness to admit defeat. I have always wanted to count the clanwar by total scores, which was the case in 99% of CC's clanwars.

One clanwar in particular comes to mind, 8'D vs CC. Counting by rounds, CC' did win. But, I'm aware of the controversy about that clanwar. Our Division Leader, Grytolle, DID agree on counting by rounds, and that is what he told 8'D. 8'D won the match in Jungle's Edge with 5-4, and because they were counting by rounds (in which case they had already won; after all; they won the tiebreaker round in Semi before) they didn't care much about the last round (Distopia) and we easily won (5-0). If they had known that I would never agree to round based counting, they would have put up a better fight in Distopia and they would have most likely won the clanwar either way. I can understand 8'D's anger and, contrary to what many people may think, it's not something that was set up beforehand to "avoid" a loss.

I know I can appear to be stubborn when it comes to things like this, but it doesn't mean I don't care about what others (CC'ers as well as non-CC'ers who don't agree with me) think. Flaming and attacking each other will not solve anything. That kind of behaviour only tends to 'polarize' conflicts and will make it even more difficult to get a possible solution that will satisfy both sides. I won't deny that CC' hasn't always been innocent, but these kinds of 'JJ2 conflicts' as Yasco calls them, they come from all sides. It would be unjust to say that it's my - or CC's - fault alone.

As a gesture to resolve some of these conflicts, I hereby recognize the last CC' vs. 8'D as a 2-1 victory for 8'D. Since Grytolle made an agreement to score by counting rounds, it would not be fair for 8'D to change the agreement later. I'm deeply sorry that that situation has gotten out of hand like this. I would have liked to have done this earlier, however the hostile environment that was created prevented any chance for compromise. Furthermore, I'll correct CC' vs. VS (from 27/28 December 2004), into a 9-6 victory for VS instead of a 11-9 for CC. Yasco had faked Vegito in the last round and this is considered cheating. I know it's wrong, I take full responsibility and I offer my sincerest apologies for this and all the other times CC' 'used fakers' or 'faked' itself (LB). Please visit http://www.craccoclan.com/divisions/...2clanwars.html to view the updated results.

I'm disappointed that people choose to boycott an alliance between CC' and RR, seeing as it was only a nice gesture to help RR grow. Believe me when I say that it was not an evil plan to steal members from RR. In fact; that couldn't be further away from the truth since we're trying to become a SMALLER clan instead. Grytolle and I decided that we would try to avoid members from RR coming (back) to CC' at all cost.

What's even more disappointing is that people like Sucer, Yasco and Cooba decide to insult/attack CC' in a topic (the RR topic) that was never meant for that. If you have any compliants or problems with CC, feel free to talk to me instead (chiyu@craccoclan.com). As I said before, public flaming won't help.

I'm looking forward to a nicer clan scene and atmosphere in and around JJ2 from now on. Hopefully 'cleaning up' our member list (see the CC' site for more information) will contribute to this as well. I'm open to criticism and will respond to any community concerns that are made in a proper manner. When everyone is treating each other with respect, there is a lot that can be accomplished through discussion.
