Just for the heck of it, comparison of Jazz in the Letni shot to the one in one of the high-quality Diamondus shots...

It's pretty clear it's the same version of the Jazz sprite, but it's at least possible it's a different frame of the animation. The feet seem to go up further and look more curled in, and the ears/bandanna may be in a different position as well. Obviously a higher quality scan would help enormously.
