Hey guys, this is Sonic The Jackrabbit (The creator of the fix.)
First off, I'd like to thank everyone who downloaded this fix.
Last year, I purchased a copy of Jazz 1 from Epic Classics. I never encountered any issues playing it until I got up to Orbitus Act 2. At first I thought it had a problem installing the game. I tried reinstalling Jazz. No luck. I tried installing Holiday Hare over it. No luck. Then I tried the shareware version and ultimately episodes 2-6 were intact and I was able to complete the level. At this point I knew there was something wrong. Believe or not, the shareware version of Jazz is based on the orginal floppy engine. It seemed that the CD version ran at a much more faster FPS than the orginal version and thus skipped many things. (Like that part in Medivo Act 1 were you can finish the rest of the level with the hoverboard, where's in the orginal version you'd lose the hoverboard at one point.) Then I found another version of the full game on the Internet (Don't even dare think of asking me where to get it!!!), that had another version of the level where you could complete it without any problems. I decided to see if I could copy the level file to my purchased copy's directory, and see if it fixed the problem. And it did. The only problem was that some of the sprites and the tileset were a bit messed up. So I copyed the Orbitus Sprites & Tileset files from the downloaded copy to the genuine copy. Then it worked fine. (Note: This is not illegal because this requires certain episode files in order to acess the level. And those files were not copied onto the fix's folder so it is completely 100% safe.)
Anyway, I heard that some people had trouble with Tubelectric Act 2 on some versions of Jazz. It seems like this problem does not occur on the orginal shareware version. Perhaps i'll tackle this problem in the future & try copying the Tubelectric level files from the shareware version and see if it fixes the problem.
Whew, that was sure a long post. See ya later, guys.
