Sounds good if you Epic allows you to do it. I haven't yet got a copy of real JJ3, so any kind of new Jazz game is welcome.
Because of all those problems with getting the source code of JJ2, I'm really planning to try to code a clone of JJ2 that could work as close like JJ2 as possible. But because of no knowledge about coding a game, this project will be big and might abanbone before the clone is ready.
About the legality: The game will use the original files (levels, audio, episodes, tilesets... etc.) of JJ2 (retail), so the original game is needed, so everyone who wants to use the clone, must have a copy of original game and there shouldn't be any copyright fights because they loose nothing if/when I release the clone.
