1.23 and 1.23x is the same J2L format version (v2.02). So are 1.24 and 1.24x (v2.03), from my memory at least.

1.23x = Holiday Hare 98
1.24x = Christmas Chronicles 99 (same as HH98 except TSF and with custom levels)
