Adults will be the hardest to get to play, unless they are furry enthusiasts or something.
If you are going to give a copy of the CD out, I would include some of the better single player levelsets (RoDS, Tomb Rabbit, etc.) and plus for them to play with.
kids, on the other hand, are willing to try anything out, so...
I gave my cousins (8 and 12) a copy of the game, and now it is practically the only game they play.

 aw come on, if you want to get people hooked on playing the game, you have to be accommodating to the newbies. No one likes having their butts handed to them time and time again.
