It's actually really really easy
Just download TEC.exe and put it elsewhere. Now rename the file Jazz2.exe
Now you open it with your favorite hex editor and do the following:
At 004C9BE8 hex dump: 31 2E 32 31 change to 31 2E 32 34
Easy! Now you also have to patch 1 byte... Uhhh (-)(-)(-)(-) I forget where, but it removes the crc check for anims.j2a
I don't feel like looking it up. Once you do that, you have a newly constructed jazz2.exe that'll work with Avalon and is Plus compatible
Known Bugs when hosting with plus, you will occasionally get a low framerate from having more than 4 players, after about 9 or so you're framerate will drop between 2 and 1 fps and eventually you will crash. So it's not stable. Download the REAL 1.24 TSF for the best compatibility.
EDIT: Also, I've noticed the animations issue to be associated with address 004D82A0, I think its something that accesses that address, though I'm not 100% sure and I don't feel like looking into this since blur knows everything :P
