Does anyone have any graphics of old games (or other stuff) that JJ1 could get inspiration from?

For me obviously Sonic was number 1:



Grass somehow reminds me of that in Diamondus. Maybe this is actually not that sure, but look at the purple bricks, windows and colors of this tileset. Anything in mind? Like PEZROX ?



Do you remember the place where mechanical balls (not spikey tho) were opening the same way as these in upper right corner? Orbitus?



Golden tubes with circular windows, grey platforms, red bricks, some metallic grey blue... Industrius?

But it was a fine conversion by Violet CLM.

Do you have any other stuff like this?

And finally: does anyone know if anything was inspired by Jazz graphics?
