Yeah, and for a good reason.
Let me show you a quick comparison:
  • "Carrotus" single-T spelling
    1. Jazz Jackrabbit 1
    2. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 official backstory comic
    3. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 music file
    4. All or nearly all fan content ever made
  • "Carrottus" double-T spelling
    1. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 tileset title accessible only by using the level edition tool or a hex editor
Single-T "Carrotus" is the official and most common spelling and there's no denying it, even if there happened to be a typo in one of the files included with the sequel to the game.
