Don't you worry about that whole AngelScript thing , I'm stubbornly refusing to learn it as well (for now, at least). It even found its way into tests (just look at Mighty Switch Test for one example), but I rather stay 'old school' and make stuff without using AS.

AS is not on my wish list. First I need to redeem some of my first tests (such as Haunted and Acrid) because of the extremely bad use of their respective tilesets . So I'd advise you to forget about AS now, first learn how to use a tileset correctly and how to make a proper SP level. Once you've done that you can continue exploring the possibilities.
