The Jazz Jackrabbit series was recommended to me a lot by friends for years (and I got the soundtracks some time ago as part of a game music bundle), but it wasn't until the games were re-released on GOG that I was able to actually play them. So my memories of the series are mostly of those recommendations and the quality of the soundtrack that led to me buying the games - and of playing them for the first time

Not long after the GOG launch I put together a Wine wrapper for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 to make it easier to play on Linux & more like playing a native game It runs great, too (at least single player/offline); check out its release thread over on GOG's forums for more info
