Hi and thanks for your work in this little forgotten vintage game (which was a big part of my childhood, I never even knew what "Sonic" is since that wasn't for PC)


I am having an important bug with the latest version

And I am pretty sure its caused by my keyboard map plus the keys, interacting with some of the changes (dev mode?). This was in Windows 11

The unmodded version of the game didn't do this

A prepacked 5.2 also didn't do it

I get giant slowdowns while in full screen mod, and some popup about "Character editor"

OS = Windows 11

Specs:
16 GB RAM DDR4
Geforce GTX 1650
Six-core Second-Gen AMD Ryzen.

As you can see this shouldn't happen

My keyboard remaps are:

Jump - Ctrl
Speed - Shift
Fire - Alt
Playing using up, down, left, right keys
