Yeah, that is how I use it exactly with the clipboard. I think the differences between PSP7 and PSP9 would be minimal, worth a shot. Also it is PJ who uses GraphicsGale, but I suspect more people use it. I think I heard Treylina uses it too.

A bit off-topic but could you also look into the .pal format for PSP palettes? It is a .pal format that is different from the windows color table .pal format. Palette Suit is open source and can load both fine. I think PSP color tables are in a very readable format if you open it with notepad. MLLE can only read windows color tables correctly. It would be a nice quality of life feature because the folder management is kind of hell for both PSP and MLLE and Palette suit inbetween.
