Nadine, it should look like this:
10052 ~ 10054 Both x.x.x.x
Where x.x.x.x is the internal IP of your computer you wish to play JJ2 on.
Remember to click apply after you enter everything.
Also make sure you have the right IP address. What Derby said should work. I don't have Win XP though, so I can't be sure.
The software firewall shouldn't be a problem, but if you want to be completely sure, disable it temporarily and then try.
"Block WAN Request" does not need to be disabled. Derby, the "pinging" in JJ2 is not actual pinging. It is sending a UDP packet on port 10052 to find out information about the server, and the server sends a UDP packet back. The time it takes is the ping time that shows up.
