Gathering of Developers Corp. of Dallas, Texas filed for bankrupcy on August 10th, 2001. The developer, which was owned by the equally bankrupt Take Two Interactive, owed millions of dollars. According to the BBB ( http://www.bbb.org/), the game publisher had an unsatisfactory record for issues involving funds. In other words, GoD was heavily in debt. Despite several blockbuster games, GoD officially announces it's retreat from the market. All current liscences are up in the air. GoD will try to refund customers for the fees, but under chapter 11 bankrupcy protection, the company will only give money to those it owes most to first. This leaves most gamers high and dry.
I thought I would contribute that.
