Platforms don't work in internet multiplayer (other then cooperative), no matter what your .ini makes you think.

Use Set Lights with light below 100. 50, for example. Make sure you have Ambient Lighting on, you have not typed the JJLight code, and there is no water in the level, because any one of these will make your lighting events not work.
