Well, that would still be better than simply scratching the clothes altogether (like Jazz and Spaz).
Not only that, but considering that Lori has no green (a default colour) on her (her fur is yellow, and her gun is red and blue), it would have been useful to make her clothes green instead of purple. (The game thinks her eyes are green, but if you change those it doesn't really make much of a difference. It's kind of difficult when you're trying to decide whether that rabbit right next to you is friend or foe by her eye colour. Yeesh.)
And, when you get into technicalities, Devan is in JJ2. But that's only when you get into technicalities.
