That's pretty dang cool. 
Well, I like the shaded one better, but you're right. The light DOES sorta leak out. Maybe wanding around the character itself, then going to your light layer and removing whatevers outside MIGHT fix that (or make it look worse).
She also seems a little unfemenine. Meh.
