I usually don't take requests at all. It's not my style. I just draw what I feel, and/or if I am trying to thank someone for something, I draw something for them.

Too many requests becomes overwhelming and you lose your own creativity along the way. That was my personal expercience, so I'm not saying it'll happen to you or anyone else. Hard to describe... 0.o;
