Okay, here comes Chapter 3. So far, the shuttle containing the royal family has been blasted into nothing, defalcon and Kazooie are underneat a crushed tavern, Rumbo is freaking out and the rabbits are losing a fight. Ready? Lets go!



CHAPTER 3

'Worlds will weep and time itself shall cry, as demons of all begin to surface.'

-The Book of Time



Jazz fired a bolt of energy up at one of Devan's five Gargantuans. It stabbed through the breastplate of the monstrous beast and did little more than aggravate it.

'HUURRR!!!!' The titanic creature shook its head savagely, its brown fur smouldering. It picked up the nearest rabbit and threw it into it's mouth. In s scream of agony, the rabbit's bones were crushed in a mass of sinew and flesh. Jazz looked away, then diverted his attention towards Spaz. He had launched himself from the top of a building towards a platoon of soldiers.

'Spaz! No!'

The platoon opened fire. Spaz was hit and hurtled down into the troop of turtles. Spaz thrashed and fired his blaster, whirling a dagger through them. But he was outnumbered. In a final act of desparation, Spaz activated a plasma bomb on his belt. The timer went off and Spaz, along with the turtles, vanished in an explosion of shrapnel and fire.

'Noooooo!' Jazz hurtled through the streets gunning down everything in his way. he arrived at the site of the explosion but all he could find was a scortched, green blaster.



Dr Jones opened his eyes. He was in a strange land of swirling mist. He recognised it; he knew what it was thanks to Rumbo. It was TIME. But not TIME as Rumbo had described it. The sky was a firey red and black, with lightning raining down all over the landscape. Warps and portals were opening and closing at random, the place looked destroyed. Jones pondered over this. WHat had happened here, and what had happened to Eva and Lori? Jones was interuptted and found himself face to face with someone. Someone who had all the answers.



Rumbo screamed in pain, a pain that he had never felt before. It seemed as if his mind and body were simultaneously being torn apart. Something was wrong with TIME, something was definetly wrong. Still connected to TIME, Rumbo could tell this. But what had happened he did not know. But with these crippling spasms wracking his body with pain, he was in no condition to find out.



defalcon crawled out from underneath the ruins of the tavern and dragged Kazooie out with him. While the red bird regained consiousness, defalcon surveyed the scene. The turtles had passed the tavern and were heading deeper into the city. THis meant they could attack from behind. defalcon felt his adrenaline start up and unsheathed his golden swords.

'defalcon, I think it's best if we attack with the element of surprise. You know, if we storm screaming up the streets, they MIGHT ust notice us, don't you think?'

'Whoops. Sorry Kaz.' defalcon placed the swords back in their scabbards and unholstered his blaster. 'Stealth it is. Come on, we better move.'

defalcon and Kazooie sped up the street after the advancing army of armoured menaces.



SWIPE! Devan's mechanical claw beheaded a rabbit warrior and his other gripped a rabbit by the neck like a vice. He was now off his battle barge and was mowing down the rabbits without breaking a sweat. He watched , pleased at his titan's work. They had destroyed half the city with ease, and the rabbits had nothing in their arsenal powerful enough to top them.

WHAM! A blaster bolt hammered the back of his head and sent him sprawling into to ground.

'That is some blaster,' Devan thought, pulling himself up. 'Even Jazz himself hasn't got a blaster that powerful.' He turned around and found him face to face with a large red bird and a sky blue rabbit.

'Hello Devan,' the rabbit spoke. 'I'm defalcon. This is my blaster, I believe you just met him.

'Mock me, will you you filthy rabbit! Eat this!' Devans claw retracted and in it's place was a modified plasma/D-Cannon hybrid. He fired a beam of blue energy. defalcon twisted a knob on his blaster and fired a counter beam that cancelled out Devan's.

Devan was agravated. 'Fool! I'll just turn up the power!' The cannon on his arm started to glow with an intense heat.

'Stupid turtle. That thing takes so long to charge up when at max power we can walk out of the way.' Kazooie stood there mocking him, then raised his blaster and squeezed the trigger. Devan's breastplate was hammered by a barrage of plasma. Then he realised what he had done. In an attempt to lessen the blow of the blaster bolts, he had clenched his fists shut. In doing so, he had pulled the trigger on his mini-cannon which was now fully charged. Devan's gun blew a small crater into the ground. His battle barge had absorbed some of the blast and was now teeter-tottering at the edge of the crater.

'Phew, it didn't crash.' Devan sighed with relief. Then he realised how wrong he was.



defalcon and Kazooie jumped aboard the barge. Kazooie used his blasters to blow away the gunners, and defalcon stormed the bridge, slaughtering he crew with his twin blades.

'Ready, defalcon?' Kaz was poised at the control panel.

'Ready, Kaz. Right then. Masenko-HA!!!!!'

defalcon blew a hole in the bridge as Kazooie hit the accelerate button. As the ship ripped down the crater, Kazooie and defalcon flew out of the way, leaving Devan to deal with the out of control barge heading straight for him.
