Other than JJ2 my favorite games are Megaman series and Castlevania series, I also play League of Legends with my IRL friends from time to time.
I'm not sure if I should mention IRL stuff but I just graduated from highschool, and I also used to train freestyle football:

I can't really decide what's the state that JJ2 is in right now, it hurts to say so but it's probably dying, it's really sad to see that Epic Games has relinquished this game for years and years... I always thought that this game died around 2011-2013 or something but surprisingly it did not, it still has an active community albeit small.
Even if i leave JJ2 at some point, I'll come back a few years later, simply because of nostalgia, like my comeback last year.
And yeah I would definitely take parts in your events
