It's not that bad. It's not amazing but from you described it sounded like as if it would be terrible. I was at a relatively similar stage when I was 11 (and my art wasn't that much better when I was 14), but it's truly about the dedication, not age. There have been artists that were worse than you at your age and are really good now.

I don't think people are lying when they compliment art of mine I dislike. It mostly comes down to different tastes and standards. I can even post my old crap around when I was 13/14.
