Scholar Sam, being skilled in all forms of magic, notices that you are out of useless items to trade. "Tell you what," he says, "I'll offer you the Doll Magic skill you seek in trade for the Magic Map. You can have the map back if you do a little favor for me - I want Wafflelord defeated." Your party seems quite unconfident in your King-of-Thieves-defeating-abilities, and seem to be mouthing the words "don't accept it". The Magic Map is your only way of getting off the island, but you weren't leaving much anyway.
