Quote:
-Fixed players from appearing to go outside the level (both client and server need to use patch)
-Fixed "Divide By Zero" access violations from bridges
-Fixed "Divide By Zero" access violations from stomping with shields
-Fixed glitch where downloaders can freeze server
-Fixed TSF glitch where Gametype and Level Name automatically get reset when setting up a server
-Fixed glitch where user gets sent to 'Start Multiplayer game' screen after pressing 'Done' on 'Game Server Setup'
screen. This glitch occurs after pressing escape on 'Players on this computer' screen.
-On 'Game Server Setup' screen, pressing 'Done' now sets menu to 'Select a Level' when level does not exist
-Fixed black "dot" glitch sometimes created from level cycles
-Fixed how JJ2 searches for the last period in a level filename then cuts off the rest (with forced search of ".j2l")
-Fixed glitch related to level filename lengths which caused clients to suddenly disconnect
-Fixed online RF missle glitches
-Recoil from RF missles no longer causes fake health for clients
-Recoil from RF missles that were not powered-up now only does 1 heart damage
-Fixed glitch where clients can join private server without a password
-Fixed glitch where events on the far-left side of levels stop respawning for clients (both the server and clients
must be running JJ2+ to truly work). Such an event is the infamous copter in battle1.
-Fixed glitch in 1.23 where powered-up ice projectiles travel in opposite directions when shot while facing left
(a local fix, similar to the TSF fix).
-Reduced probability of clients getting fake health from carrots (only the server must be running JJ2+)
-Reduced probability of clients causing damage to others by stomping/kicking/uppercutting lag clones
-Server no longer hears Sugar Rush music when a client gets a Sugar Rush
-Unauthorized downloads are prevented
-Players running this program no longer pick up carrot after dying on top of carrot
-Flag Passing now requires the receiver to hold the up arrow when shot by RF missiles by the flag holder
-Clients running this program no longer see negative team scores when the a team's score is between 128 and 255
-Chat field no longer disappears on level cycle
-SHIFT+F2 minimizes JJ2 to tray (blame Gry). Note: cannot be used in fullscreen mode
-Player names erased on join (makes it easier to tell who the connecting player is)
-Hearts now always displayed right to left. This makes it easier to see more than 5 hearts on the display.
-Multiversion support so players running other versions of JJ2 can join the server
-Sprites will display correctly for Jazz and Spaz if clients do not edit their JJ2 version before joining
-TNT modifications
-Ability to extend blast radius
-Ability to set how much damage TNT does
-Overtime and Pregame modes
-Pit Punishment from self-destruct with 0 points (for one's team if Team Battle)
-Those who are punished will respawn with 1 heart
-"punishSDs" command punishes all self-destructs by pits
-Spectator mode
-In game modes decided by number of roasts, if a player falls in a pit with no roasts/team roasts, that player
respawns with 1 heart (evil idea by EvilMike)
-Server Game Info (F9) features
-Plus sign shown next to name for players running Plus (blue for 1.23, green for TSF)
-A red circle appears behind the Plus sign if a player is running an old/incompatible version of JJ2+
-Exclamation point shown next to player names if they are using a different version of JJ2 than the server
-Other Game Info (F9) features (for both server and clients in Plus servers)
-For JJ2+ clients in JJ2+ servers, gray plus sign shown next to name for players running Plus
-"C" shown to the right of name to indicate connecting client
-"D" shown to the right of name to indicate downloading client
-"A" indicates client has admin access
-"S" indicates player is spectating
-Point count shown for CTF mode
-Death count shown for Battle and CTF modes
-New custom modes
-For Battle Mode
-Pestilence (roasted rabbits get morphed into zombies, live long and roast for points)
-Last Rabbit Standing (players have lives)
-Extended Last Rabbit Standing (players have lives, but win by points)
-Points for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place get multiplied by 1.5, 1.25, and 1.125 respectively
-For CTF Mode
-Death CTF (each roasts get one point, flag scores roast entire enemy team)
-Jailbreak (those roasted go to jail and must be freed with ice, score by jailing entire enemy team)
-For those who want to make JB levels:
-Trigger ID 30 is for release prisoners and Trigger ID 29 is for overtime
-The overtime trigger is mainly meant to prevent freeing players with ice on either team
-Flag Run (one flag for both teams, score by taking it into the enemy's base)
-Special trigger zones that sets triggers for all players.
-Server trigger (trigger is set on for server, off for clients)
-Place 1 tile left of the bottom-right corner
-Team trigger (trigger is set on for red team, off for blue team)
-Place 2 tiles left of the bottom-right corner
-Special "Console" chat for server and clients running Plus.
-Reset command now always resets entire game for any game mode and custom mode
-Highly improved Idle Player Detection
-Shields get removed on pit deaths (Note: afterwards player temporarily cannot use blaster)
-Health From Kills now no longer removes carrots from the level (use /nocarrots command to remove carrots)
Note: If Health From Kills is enabled and carrots are not disabled, HFK Max Health cannot be greater
than the max game mode health, which is 5 for Battle and 3 for CTF.
-Server now always hides the rabbits of connecting clients
-Some music fix I probably won't keep exactly as it is (right now, music never restarts or lowers in volume on death)
-Possibly inadvertantly fixed clones created from level cycles
-Other miscellaneous bug fixes not worth mentioning (or I forgot what they were)
-See commands below for additional features
After that section it goes into much more specific detail by listing individual commands. But if that's still too many words, here's a general description: JJ2+ fixes a lot of bugs and adds a lot of things, both clientside and serverside.

The readme is a bit disorganized but it gives a concise description of what the program does, and gives a brief description of how it works. The bit I quoted should probably be in the original post of this thread though. The part of the readme that explains how it works is kind of fragmented (note 1, note 2, note 3, etc) but its pretty simple. It just loads a special .dll file that contains all the fixes. You have two options: either create a special jazz2.exe so the dll loads automatically, or load it manually.

Edit: And sorry if my response was a bit rude, since it basically amounted to "rtfm". I still stand by that reasoning however, as it is somewhat annoying to ask what a program does when the documentation is readily available. Saying "I read the manual but don't understand this or that" is perfectly acceptable of course. The important thing is to at least give it a shot, since otherwise the best you can usually expect is no response at all to your questions... other than something very vague like my original comment, or "read the manual", of course. Explaining things that have already been explained in the documentation isn't fun, especially when it seems like the person asking the question doesn't even care enough to bother checking it first. It kind of wears on you if you deal with this sort of thing a lot.
