In england, people tend to Celebrate christmas, from like the beginning of the month, but that would be to long to do a server, but from about the 15th onwards, everyone has christmas trees, every shop you walk into has xmas music, and decorations up and all that, so do you think its worth also starting the server BEFORE christmas, or from christmas onwards? or both.
It's the same in America, but the reason for it has to do with the commercialization of Christmas. I rather dislike how events get grossly changed for overwhelming commercialization purposes, particularly with Christmas. So for something that doesn't require selling something before Christmas day, I'd rather go with a more traditional schedule.
