Coppertop is doing well so far

Probably If you were on the JMMB.

"This is it? No welcoming committee?" Defalcon sounded slightly disappointed. Crystal ignored him. She was actually slightly relieved that there were no enemies; she preferred long-range markmanship to close-range battle. Copper seemed concerned, though. "Keep alert" was all she said, and Crystal knew that the mercenary expected an ambush.
No laser fire came; no grenades were thrown. Defalcon shifted and glanced over at Shinyso, who stood tensed and ready. Claw glanced around nervously.
"How many were there originally?" he asked, noting a few bodies in the alley below. Copper glanced at him.
"Maybe twenty," she said in a low voice. "I touched a few, got one. 'M not sure about Claw or Shinyso."
The rasping grate of steel on steel was muffled; Shinyso's saber was instantly in his hand. Finally he turned.
"They're out there," he told them. "Sixteen of them, that building. They're waiting for us to show; they're not aware that we're here."
"We have the advantage then," Coppertop said in satisfaction. Defalcon looked at the warrior curiously.
"What are you, some sort of telepath or something?"
Shinyso nodded absently. Defalcon blinked in surprise. He had not expected to be right first try.
Crystal Summer ignored Defalcon. She was busy fixing a scope onto her blaster pistol. Then she looked up at Shinyso.
"Where?"
"Top floor, three windows from the left, lower righthand corner," he said, pointing it out. She nodded and took a careful aim. Then she gently squeezed the trigger.
The blaster had a bit of a kick, but she held it steady as an anguished cry cut across the gathering dusk.
"Got him," she announced. "Any others that I can reach?"
"Last window on the right, a floor from the top," Shinyso directed. Again she aimed and fired -
- "He ducked!" she said, indignantly. "He ducked when he was supposed to stand still! He ducked and made me miss!"
"It happens," Claw said quietly, the first words he'd spoken. "Try this one." He pulled out a small blaster and handed it to Crystal. She took it gingerly and holstered her own pistol.
Claw's blaster blew both the window and part of the wall out. Crystal looked from the blaster to him incredulously. "Well, I got him," she said in a small voice. Claw took his blaster back.
"Protec," was all he said. Crystal's eyes widened slightly.
"Oh."
A wild yell split the gloom; Copper sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Here we go again -"
Defalcon got her attention. "Come on - we can beat them! Start running!"
Crystal followed him just as he followed Copper. Claw vanished into the shadows somewhere and Shinyso deliberately lagged to protect their backs.
Claw was waiting at the foot of a ramp that led down to the grimy streets. Copper turned at the top to signal to Shinyso.
A line of enemies separated them, and she signalled anyway. Shinyso had his saber out again and was clearly fighting for his life, but inexorably was being driven back to the edge of the building.
Nodding to show that he understood, the black rabbit took another step back.
Suddenly he sheathed his sword, spun, and dove off the side of the building.
Defalcon stared for a moment before Copper grabbed his arm and dragged him down the ramp behind her. He shook her off and began to run on his own, demanding to know what had happened.
"Why would he do that? We could've gotten to him in time! Man, if all your friends are like that it's no wonder you're looking for new ones."
"Shut up and run," Copper said acidly. "You'll see why he did it when we reach the bottom."
Crystal, who had not seen Shinyso's apparent suicide, was ahead of them. Her blaster was in her hand but she held her fire.
Claw was waiting at the bottom. He glanced at Copper questioningly, and she nodded. Crystal asked, "where's Shinyso?"
"He went and chucked himself off the building," Defalcon said in disgust.
"He's not dead," Copper told them. "Shinyso is full of surprises."
Defalcon muttered "I'll bet" but held his peace as they followed Copper and Claw to where the Assassin, now renamed Phantom Eclipse, was.

BTW, if you read Conquerer (or were in it from the beginning) you'd probably remember that Shinyso could fly in Ninja's profile.
