Maverick is a good player, but you're overrating him by quite a margin.

VS's warteam was fine etc etc, we just played below our expected level against 8D and even more so against LR. Lag of the level that features lagclones, fake healths, airhits and other things that affect gameplay quite a bit played an atrocious part in the game against LR, though.

I can only suppose LR had much less lag, because they didn't seem to lag at all.

And simply Grytolle, Maverick (who are both very good players) and a few other decent or semi-decent players likely won't be enough against 8D concidering the team rosters...
