That initial bee hive you were confused about does generate bees in 1.00g, but only in hard mode. There are a lot of differences among the various difficulty levels when you compare the OEM versions to the final.

Regarding the fireball, I tend to assume that it and the blade gun got the axe because they're just not very interesting. They're both essentially more powerful versions of the blaster, and there just aren't any enemies in JJ2 that such a distinction is really useful for. Pepper spray and electro blaster are much more diverse.

Ahh ok. I don't feel like playing the game 3 times to find all the differences though lol.

And I was going to bring it up when I get the blade gun. I don't think the fireball is boring, and I thought it was more interesting then the current pepper spray. But I am gonna bring up the similarities to the blaster in part 9.

Here, I guess I'll chip my two cents in, just for old time's sakes.

You should discuss the "Inside Jokes" in your video (the spots with signs with tongue-in-cheek phrases like "Cheese is green on Tuesday", or "Spaz ate the Dopefish", or "Craig is a doofus", etc. all), talk about the silly jokes in secret rooms. And stuff.

  • Tube3 was going to be Tube2's secret level. Tube2.j2l has it in its secret level field, and both Tube3.j2l and TUBE3.LEV have medivo1 as their next level.
  • The TNT has trouble detecting the blocks the first time because it only explodes if it's directly overlapping a tile with a destructable scenery event. In the final, it was changed to check for such events in nearby tiles as well.
  • While this is hardly an excuse, the messed up speakers would seem to be an artifact of JJ2's original resolution. Practically all the non-textured backgrounds are designed for screens 320 pixels wide, and so while the heights vary -- 8 tiles for Tubelectric, 6 for Dam Nation, 7 for Labrat and Inferno and Castle -- the widths are invariably 10 tiles (or 20 when flipped). When the resolutions got expanded, whoever was handling Tubelectric may have expanded the height to 8 tiles to fix the more obvious vertical tiling bug, but didn't bother to fix the horizontal tiling. Definitely something they could and should have fixed, but that's most probably where it came from.

Somewhat discontinuous narrative about the nature of rotating rocks aside, the only thing I felt was missing was a mention of Bilsy, who was originally slated to appear in Jung2 before his postponement to HH98.

I didn't notice anything you forgot, although something I forgot to mention in my past posts, is that you haven't pointed out the Carrot sound. In the final game, the Carrot Eating sound is a sort of munching sound, while in this version(1.00g), it makes a Diamond sound.

It would be interesting if you did a second Let's Play at some point, but instead of 1.00g, you should do 1.10o.
