To try and cut down on the CTO's and such, a player limit of 12 has been set.

To help ensure free spaces are available, Players who are idleing will be kicked out by an automatic system run by Console.
(If you don't move within 2 minutes, you first get warned you are about to be kicked then if you still dont move you get kicked. Also, springs wont help you )

We have been runnin the server like this for a while and its has been going well, enough players to make the game fun while not becoming so bad/laggy.

Inregards to downloadling, all we can do is urge Jazz'ers to download the Levels seen on the frontpage news on Jazz2online.com. Console will also broadcast this url throughtout the game for people who dont visit j2o. Over time more and more people will have the levels in there caches so it should only get better.

Although we do understand that downloaders are causing games to hang for long periods of time, making masses of lag for everyone playing there is nothing we can do at present. Just hang in there even if you end up CTO'ing. The server should fix itself eventually and you can rejoin. We are working on a block that should stop people downloading tilesets from the Server (main cause of Download Lag) but it is unlikely that this will be finished in time for this Bash.
Please people, just download the packs and dont ruin it for everyone else.

At popular times when the Bash server is full, you may find overflow servers being hosted. Enjoy.

I lie. Console is evil and wont send the tilesets to users anymore.
If is recommended you download the pack from www.jazz2online.com/bash7 before joining the server otherwise you may find it unjoinable. This should end Download lag (i hope)

I know nobody cares, but that's the limit which I use for my own server as well to overcome extra lag.

Here are some screenshots I made.

Oh, and by the way. I liked the bash packs and stuff, but there weren't too many people most of the time. My fourth screenshot is made when there were alot of people. The 1st screenshot was randomly taken, but the 2nd screenshot was only made because I was playing in my own level. The 5th screenshot was made because of the people that said
I think I have played all levels, but I played some levels more than others and vice-versa. I wasn't playing most of the time in AB6, but I were definitely more active this year. And if I didn't say it, thanks for hosting, and of course I have to thank FS and CelL for the packs. So here is a nice thank you. =)

Haha, low detail for Lava Lagoon. DS, you could've taken a screenshot of me, before left, in Bay of Diamionds.

The bash wasn't as hectic and frantic as some of the earlier bashes, like 3 or 4 (4 was especially confusing for me because of all those players...and because I missed Agama Or was that 3? Or 5? Nm), which is why I enjoyed it. You could turn JJ2 on or off at random and always have something to do and someone to see in the bash (except in the few times when the bash was deserted because of TSF test lvls, JJ2WC2 pre-games and "anti-bash" jazzers).

The only bad thing about this year's bash, I think, was the lag. Even with just 3-4 players (not including console or me) the game would lag incredibly and I would lose flags, get roasted/hurt without knowing about it. Fortunately, I was able to score a few roasts after I was supposed to be dead and lost all my power-ups. Another bad thing about this year's bash is that there were so many ppl online at times, and yet only a fraction were actually in the bash server. The rest where on tests, battle1, groundforce lvls, etc, which, to me, contradicts the point of anniversary bashes, where ppl are supposed to come together. The least complaint I have to voice with my insignificant mouth is that sometimes the bash WOULD get very popular but the player limit was never raised higher than 20, afaik, so not everyone could come. Also, the Bash troubleshooter server was pretty cool too, although I felt it needed a warp at the bottom, hehe.

A big disappointment for me was to miss (gasp) my own lvl completely. I kept playing 'What is this?', '.', 'Rainy Rain Forest' like a dozen times and yet my lvl, along with a lot others, seemed to be on very, very little. I guess it's just bad timing on my part.

I got to see a lot of ppl. Er...yes, a lot of ppl, that's it. More than I could've dreamt of, hehe. A lot of newbies where there too and ppl I've never met in my life were playing which is not only nice cannon fodder in CTF games but also shows that JJ2 is going quite strong after all these years.

Thanks for reading. See you, er in 0.09 seconds, right after I've clicked 'Post Quick Reply'.

EDIT: Dohdohdoh. I forgot to thank Cell and FS for composing the pack. *thanks and waves* Oh, and of course I want to thank all the ppl, er, DS thanked because I'm too stupid to remember all the names.

Fquist got roosterde. I thought it was 'roostered' and I suddenly had the image of Frank turning into a chicken of some sorts.

Jazz dies better. ;D

I can see that the afterparty isn't as popular as the real bash. Also, why doesn't Fquist use Console? Btw, will OL release the Console program? It would be a really very neat hosting tool (of course, I am getting the feeling it already exists, has been uploaded for years and has been extensively used and reviewed - bleh).

It hasn't been uploaded yet. It probably will, eventually. I don't use console because I don't have it ;p

BTW, at least one time the ground force server was official.

Was an alright bash I guess. I enjoyed the battle more than the CTF because I was only there for mostly the battle. I was only there during the first part of the CTF and then I had to leave to buy ut2k4 and stuff and go on road trips the next day, so sadly I missed most the CTF. But I attended the Bash Treasure though ;D. I took several screenshots which I will link to and upload at a later time.

Edit: Oh yeah, it was really annoying how only a handfull of levels were really played intensely. Several levels I've played in at least 10 tiems in the bash, while others I didn't even get to play once (like Darker Insomnia by Booshi, and some of the levels in the 10s). For the CTF I especially missed like 3/4th the pack ;d.

Everyone's free to host afterparties. I don't have a computer that's good for hosting servers all night so that's why my afterparty was shut down.

Btw, isn't ironic how the 10th anniversary bash will be one of JJ2's largest milestones and yet it will probably be enjoyed by the least players?

I have played E.Prime in the first day, never played it after that. Although I played E.Prime twice with not alot of time between the 2 times. Or something.

Some levels I played alot were Rainy Rain Forest(not one of my favourite levels) and Villain Village.

The level I was not roasted in was Religion, and I won 2 times in Even Darker Insomnia.

I didn't like the fact that there weren't alot of players in the server when my level was played and I was in the server. Too bad ;/
I think I played long enough in the bash, I was probably one of the most active players in the server(probably not because I slept in the night =P) That's a reason why I'm not playing in some screenshots by Mono. Oh well. I can't play every single hour. The second day, I had connection problems till the end of the afternoon(in my country, it was around 16:30 or something)

My favourite levels of the pack that were not made by myself?
CTF : Religion, Technodus Cargo Station, Quasar Quandary.
Battle : EvilMike's Evil Fortress, Garden Brawl, E.Prime, The Corsair's Coast.
The shortest rounds were in Siege of the Past, which was the smallest CTF level of the pack, I believe.

I didn't play every level with alot of people. Too bad. I wish I'd play in some levels with alot of people, hehe.

A level I only liked because of the music was Merry Hypothermia. There were alot of people in the server when I played that level, like one of my screenshots is showing.

Overall, this shows this was a good bash, but only because of the levels, not the activity.

Heh. I played E. Prime 7 times. I liked the music of that one, but my monitor was too dark so I got stuck at some places

Well, anyway, I really like The Corsair's Coast. Still, I have to say I liked Battle More. I'm just bad at CTF. Fav levels...

Happy Valley CTF was my most fav. CTF level. Gosh, that one is really awesome. For Battle... The Corsairs Coast. Heh.

Although the battle server was great and I won most of the rounds, I got bored from the CTF one quickly for unknown reasons. Most of the classics were bad and people kept complaining about them, but Rainy Rain Forest and 24 Hour Coffee were surprisingly good. I also noticed that some oldies like Mezz are still in good shape and I wish they would keep "Jazzing" and not leave after the bash. Too bad.

My favorite level in the whole pack was "Battle Game" by Violet, an unusual battle (well, like duh) level compared to other, boring levels which are using concepts that I've seen thousand of times before.

What is this?!

Toasted territory

Rainy Rain Forest

silent slayers

(EvilMike's Untitled Oasis Level)

The Corsair's Coast

Those screenshots above are dedicated to the entire [si] clan. Just because.

Violet's battle game was the most confusing and eye-irritating. Low detail all the way there!

OMG there's me! FS and Rep both seems to favour white fur with coloured "clothes". ;P I'm the only pure-white rabbit, hehe. It's funny how I always use ASCII letters. It shows that deep inside me, I am still an enthusiastic and charmingly naive newbie jazzer, heh.

EDIT: Being a newbie, I forgot to take screenshots.
