hmm nice idea: make old mine transport things like railroad tracks, lifts, belts with diamonds moving on them (GEMS.) which you can all use for 'automatic movement' (sucker tubes over the railroad track, float up in lifts, belt events on belts) =) how sad I suck at drawing

None of the yellows match the pale yellow in the comic.

I like yellow+blue and green+orange best, but I don't really care if it remains yellow green:P

There is a tileset like that?

Anyways,

We'd better vote then. Unless anyone plans on making a different set of ground tiles?

I'd use them. Besides, if we add more original material, it won't look so much like Labrat. But, I really don't care what type of ground we use. As long as it looks good.

I have to admit, Labrat's ground tiles are proving to be most versitle. I've noticed they are also akin to Muckamuk's ground tiles a bit.

o.O

Anyway, just a note, the JJ1 manual has a lot of pictures of some unknown planet in the background, with blue grass and green fire and various stuff. I would suggest that that be taken as the same planet as the rats', and thus incorporated.

Yes, its near a black hole and the light gets bent round. If you go there in a spaceship you end up seeing the back of your own head.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (it was supposed to last 2 days, not a whole month....), the deadline is extended onto July 31st, 2006. So there will be actually two months to go rather than just one.

Also, you may want to actually start working, people.

yeah, would be awesome. however, I don't really use the labrat tileset and thus I don't think I will ever use this.. but of course I'm not the only one around here...

also, I wonder what was oftopic in my post .. the topic at that point was a *special* tileset and I posted about that

anyways, I think LMAT's are going to fail from now on..maybe some people need to get some nice inspiration and in a year it's time for another one

For YOU, maybe, although the real 'topic' is the creation of tiles. Anyway, since nobody seems to care enough for this tileset to be actually contributing (if someone IS actually working on tiles, I don't mean to offend you), I'll whip up something next week...

Personally, I think the theme is holding this LMAT back. The theme is a place with green-topped-by-yellow ground that is full of mice. It is not enough to make a tileset of.

I would help, but there's no way I could match the drawing style of official tiles. Not even close.

You're also forgetting the Greek Mining shafts that may or may not have Aztec-esque ruins.

True, with imagination there is room for improvement.
We really need some non-labrat ground, though. I just tried matching that style. I failed. And since I doubt any of us can really get close to it, the main tiles of the tileset will go through the entire LMAT looking out of place.

right now it's just a 28-tile tileset, so whatever is added, it improves the tileset IMO.
