Smile Winter War Resurrected

Hi all.

It looks like I managed to (1) rediscover my joy in tileset making and (2) resurrect this old plan of a tileset, Winter War.

I could call it now the Potato and Vanilla Sauce Land, as my flatmate indicated me not long back. There is nothing related to war at this point. I just wanted to give this screenshot to anyone out there still interested about this game and my tilesets

During the time I've been away I saw a lot of Europe in the form of an Erasmus exchange. That year stuck to me so powerfully that I found myself planning to make a Krems an der Donau tileset Nieder Österreich, anyone? It would be beautiful.

Cheers all, yours, Blade

Looking pretty good. I'm going to go look for those old screenshots, tho.
The white bits (vannila sauce) stand out a bit, but otherwise the set's looking okay.

The tileset needs more snow though.

Looks nice so far, but the lighting is confusing with that perspective. From the floor tiles, it looks like the light should be coming from the top or top left, but the left wall tiles make it look like it's coming from the right. People are used to seeing light from the top left, and it's good to break out of that but it needs to be very explicit to look "right."

I love the shape of the walls in the background, they're barely recognizable as 32x32 tiles and that's always a good thing.

Looking good. The soil tiles heavily remind me of the sewer tiles in the colon tileset, except your tiles are brown and can have snow on them.

I think the ground could be a little bit darker (in comparison to the walls), and it's reminding me entirely too much of Traditional Japan right now, but I'm sure that'll change as more elements get added in.
